Runderpants Mile challenge
A fun-run like no other; flexible, creative, organised and delivered by the fundraising student group. This innovative challenge event is still engaging new audiences.
Inspired by events of a similar type run by Nerve Tumours UK's American and Australian equivalents, the Runderpants event is a wonderful example of how a creative fundraising idea has added real colour, vibrancy, and substance to their fundraising portfolio.
I led the development of the Runderpants Mile. I managed a team of 3 as we approached universities, sought internal and external buy-in for ideas and budgetary approvals, created a financial model that would appeal to students, and could be replicated on a case by case basis for each new participating group.
The event attracted sponsorship from Boohoo.com and MyOddballs, as well as pro-bono collaboration with The Specialist Works.
To support the event a new platform was developed using Blackbaud's Everydayhero service which meant managing the digital production and third party designers as well.
